Electric Gap Control for Intermittent Wells
Intermittent wells are common in the Poza Rica region of Mexico. Pneumatic gap control systems need daily onsite supervision. Kimray’s Electric Pilot gave the producer the ability to monitor and control remotely.
Vapor Recovery Unit Using the Electric Pilot
A producer in the Colorado DJ Basin was using a pneumatic controller for an inlet suction control valve on a vapor recovery unit. Because of the increasing regulations of emissions, the producer agreed to trial Kimray’s Electric Pilot for their application.

Gain Maximum Control with the Tritex II Electric Actuator
The combination of the Tritex II Electric Actuator and a Kimray High Pressure Control Valve Bottom Works eliminates emissions, provides communications that tie directly into the SCADA system, and operates on low power consumption.
The Tritex II uses a roller screw attached to a motor to convert the rotary motion of the motor directly into a linear force. The controls and positioner in the actuator provide closed-loop feedback. This eliminates the need for limit switches, torque switches, or any mechanical means of feedback.
The electronics provide a 4-20 mA input and output, as well as digital capability. The result is speed, precision, and a long-lasting actuator with little to no maintenance.
