Jerry Wells has been on the board of directors at Kimray since 2013. He currently serves the board as Vice-Chairman and Chairman of the compensation committee. Jerry became the Senior Pastor of Together Church, aka Western Hills Church, in Oklahoma City in 1984. He resigned as Senior Pastor in 2022 and was named Pastor Emeritus.
Because of his close association with the Hill family, Jerry has a unique understanding of the history, core values, and culture of Kimray. Because of his service at Together Church and to other organizations, he also brings a wealth of experience and understanding of what is necessary for personal and organizational success.
Jerry has served the University of Central Oklahoma men’s basketball program as their character coach since 2019. For over 30 years, he has been speaking on the importance of good character to high school and college basketball teams. He and his wife Saundra are the proud parents of 12 children and they have 11 grandchildren.
Jerry graduated from Del City High School in Del City, Oklahoma, in 1973. He has his BA in religion from Oklahoma Baptist University where he played both basketball and baseball for four years. He earned his master’s degree in divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He has also done additional graduate study at Baylor University.
